Labelmates as well as sisters, Jessica and Krystal, have landed on the cover of ‘Marie Claire‘ magazine.

On June 20th, the magazine released a few pictures off the upcoming July special edition featuring Girls’ Generation‘s Jessica and f(x)‘s Krystal.

The two boast slim bodies and doll-like features that are similar, yet also different enough to showcase their individuality. As they’re often called the “Olsen sisters” of Korea, the two played up their sisterly image by dressing in matching outfits.

[NEWS] Super Junior’s Shindong is Unrecognized by Apple iOS Intelligent Personal Assistant ‘Siri’

Super Junior member Shindong expressed his frustrations towards Apple iOS‘ intelligent personal assistant and knowledge navigator, Siri.

On June 19th, Shindong shared the photo above (right) via his Twitter page and wrote, “Siri! Why don’t you know me, huh? Mr. CEO! Please educate Siri.”

Shindong had asked Siri, “What kind of person is Super Junior’s Shindong?”, to which Siri hilariously responded, “I am sorry. I don’t know the answer to your question.”

Fans who got a good laugh out of the photo responded, “Were you just dissed by Siri? Hilarious“, “Siri doesn’t know you yet“, and “It needs to be upgraded!”

[NEWS] Girls’ Generation Voted for ‘Best Stage Performance’ by Japanese Netizens

Girls’ Generation was selected in Japan as the single girl group who put on the most lavish stage performances.

On June 18th, Japanese mobile music service chart Recochoku reported the results of their ‘Girl Groups Who Put On Lavish Dances’ rankings. Girls’ Generation was voted #1 by users who said, “Their dances are sexy and cute at the same time, and you can’t help but be captivated by their long, lean legs.”

Others said, “People are blown away by the synchronized dance put on by 9 girls. Their fashion style is also amazing.”

Following behind Girls’ Generation were dance group E-Girls, techno-pop girl group trio Perfume, KARA, and SPEED.

In related news, Girls’ Generation will be releasing their new Japanese single “Paparazzi” on June 27th.

[NEWS] U-KISS Receives Warm Welcome from Cambodian Fans

Idol group U-KISS recently paid a visit to Cambodia along with an NGO volunteer organization.

The boys landed at the Phnom Penh airport past at midnight, but the airport was jam-packed with fans who wanted to get a glimpse of their favorite Hallyu star.

Cambodia is an area that is just beginning to catch a few waves of Hallyu, and fan bases are beginning to form very naturally.

Being the first K-Pop act to visit Cambodia, the media outlets were scrambling to get their fix of the U-KISS boys. While the members were there, there were constantly long lines of reporters waiting for them day after day, and reports related to U-KISS were released and broadcasted ceaselessly. Furthermore, the Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen along with his family were also out on site, proving U-KISS’ explosive fame in the local area.

At the fan meeting that was held on a Cambodian national holiday (June 18th), 5,000 audience members filled the venue and a few hundred Cambodian members of U-KISS’ fanclub ‘KISSME‘ were also present.

In related news, U-KISS who is currently promoting new title song “Believe” will be returning to Korea and focus on Korean promotions until the end of the month. Starting in July, the boys will officially launch their 9-city Japan Tour.

[NEWS] Girls’ Generation’s Jessica Spotted Shopping

Girls’ Generation’s Jessica was recently spotted shopping at a local mall. On June 18, a video, titled “Jessica Visits Coming Step Store,” made its way onto several online communities. As shown in the video, Jessica is at a department store, looking through and trying on different clothes from the brand she endorses. Many netizens were drawn the star’s gorgeous side profile and her chic expressionless face while she glanced over the various clothes.

Jessica didn’t forget to wave and smile at the fans who dropped by to catch a glimpse of her. Netizens commented, “Jessica is so pretty,” “So chic,” “Even when she’s shopping, she looks like she’s shooting a spread,” “Gorjess,” and more.

[NEWS] Girls’ Generation’s TaeTiSeo Graces the Cover of “Elle Girl”

Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun (aka TaeTiSeo) are the first Korean celebrities to grace the cover of “Elle Girl.” During the interview following the photoshoot, the girls talked about the life as Girls’ Generation’s first ever unit group. They started, “Because we represented Girls’ Generation, we felt a lot of burden; however, we tried to enjoy it as much as possible because it was an opportunity for us to sing as much as we wanted.”

It’s been said that Tiffany actively participated in the decision-making process behind TaeTiSeo’s style concepts. During the interview, Tiffany revealed that her red hair, reminiscent of Nicole Kidman’s style in “Moulin Rouge,” was her idea.  When asked what her most beautiful memory in her teens was, Seohyun shared, “It was during my trainee days, when the unnies and I were working hard to fulfill our dreams.”

[NEWS] Girls’ Generation’s Yuri: “I’ve Gained a Lot of Ahjumma Fans through ‘Fashion King’”

Girls’ Generation recently shot a spread for the July issue of @star1. The shoot took place at the posh district of Cheongdam, using Tory Burch’s flagship store, 10 Corso Como, and other boutiques as its backdrop. Four members of Girls’ Generation participated in the photoshoot, including Yuri, Jessica, Sooyoung, and Seohyun. Each member wore clothes and accessories that they personally like, emphasizing their individual styles. Yuri, who successfully wrapped her first drama as one of the leads, attracted envious looks with a simple top and shorts.

Regarding her drama, “Fashion King,” Yuri explained, “This was practically my first time acting, and it was a lot harder than I imagined. Honestly, it was hard, but I also felt so much joy [acting].” She continued, “One thing that changed since I appeared in ‘Fashion King’ is that a lot more middle-aged men and women recognize me. A lot of people at restaurants, and even the streets, recognize me as Yuri from ‘Fashion King.’ It’s very interesting. I’ve finally realized the power of dramas.” Yuri added, “I hope I get more opportunities to act. I would like to continue challenging myself through acting.”

Meanwhile, the July issue of @star1, featuring the Cheongdam date with Girls’ Generation, will be available on June 21.
