[NEWS] Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon Voted as The Underclassman Most Wanted by Male College Students

After conducting the poll of the upperclassman most wanted by female students, this week, DC Inside asked the male users which female celebrity they felt had the most ideal ‘college hoobae‘ image.

The poll took place between June 5th to 12th, and users named top Korean celebrities like actress Lee Yeon Hee, KARA‘s Hara, miss A‘s Suzy, IU, 4minute‘s HyunA, 2NE1‘s Dara, SISTAR‘s Hyorin, After School‘s UEE, f(x)‘s Sulli, SECRET‘s Hyosung, T-ara‘s Jiyeon, Girls’ Generation‘s Taeyeon and Seohyun, and more.

But the female star that stole the spotlight was none other than Girls’ Generation’s leader, Taeyeon. Thanks to her powerful vocal talent and charm, Taeyeon received a total of 9,020 (34.1%) out of 26,436 votes, including votes from female fans who admire her easy-going personality and image.

Trailing behind Taeyeon was popular SM Entertainment actress, Lee Yeon Hee. Through her new SBS Wednesday-Thursday drama ‘Phantom‘, the actress is showcasing a new side of herself unseen in her previous roles in movies such as’Hello Schoolgirl‘ and ‘My Love‘. Lee Yeon Hee placed 2nd with a total of 7,054 (26.7%) votes.

The celebrity with the third most votes was none other than Girls’ Generation’s maknae, Seohyun, with 4,693 (17.8%) votes. The singer seems to have captured the hearts of male college students as she is known to have a cute and innocent image, but is also very smart and considerate.

[NEWS] CNBLUE’s Yonghwa and Park Shin Hye to Hold A Fan Meet in Japan for ‘Heartstrings’

CNBLUE‘s Yonghwa and actress Park Shin Hye have revealed that they will be holding a special fan meet in Japan before the broadcast of their drama, ‘Heartstrings‘, on Fuji TV.

To be held at the Tokyo International Forum on July 16th, the fan meet will be held twice in one day featuring a special video reel of the drama along with a talk segment featuring the two leads. The drama was broadcast in Korea from June to August of 2011 through MBC, and is about college students dreaming of becoming musicians.

The drama was later picked up by Japan’s Fuji TV and is scheduled to begin airing next month. Considering the two’s popularity in Japan thanks to promotions with CNBLUE and their previous drama together, ‘You’re Beautiful‘, the fan meet and the drama are likely to be a hit!

In related news, CNBLUE is gearing up for the release of their third Japanese single, ‘Come On‘, on August 1st.

[NEWS] U-KISS Announces Japanese Single, “Dear My Friend”

Approximately five months after releasing their album “A Shared Dream” in February, Korean boy bandU-KISS will be releasing a new Japanese single titled “Dear My Friend“!

The Korean group’s newest single is slated for a released on July 25th, and is said to be a fresh, medium-tempo tune with the theme of friendship. “Dear My Friend” is currently airing as the ending theme to the TV anime “Arashi no Yoru ni Himitsu no Tomodachi“. The coupling track “Beautiful“, which was written by member AJ, has also earned a tie-up as the CM song for Kintetsu Department store’s “Passe Bazaar” CMs.

The jacket covers for the single are just as bright as summery as the song promises to be, as are the promotional photos for “Dear My Friend”.

[NEWS] Super Junior’s Leeteuk Reveals A Physical Secret on ‘Strong Heart’

Super Junior leader Leeteuk revealed something new about himself.

On the June 12th broadcast of SBS‘s ‘Strong Heart‘, actress Han Geuh Roo revealed she had one extra vertebrae than the norm (26), totaling 27 in all.

She explained that because of this she experiences troublesome back pain, and in response Super Junior’s Leeteuk revealed that he took an X-ray after he had some back pain, and it looked as though he had one less vertebrae (25) than the norm.

“I always had my curved back ever since I was little, and my two vertebrae had coalesced, appearing as one,” he explained.

The singer then asked Han Geuh Roo to give him one vertebrae, causing everyone to remark that the two were a match made in heaven.
