[NEWS] Kangin to Make His Comeback with Super Junior’s 6th Album Next Month

Kangin has been revealed to be joining Super Junior for their comeback, which will reportedly be taking place next month!

According to information released by a few industry officials, Super Junior will be making their comeback early next month with their sixth album. Not only is it their first comeback in 11 months since their ‘Mr. Simple‘ release, but this album will also be including the return of Kangin.

On June 19th, SM Entertainment revealed to multiple Korean media outlets, “Kangin will be participating as a member of Super Junior starting from their 6th album, which will be released early July,” and “He is currently practicing hard with the upcoming comeback.”


Super Junior has an impressive track record with their fifth album alone, selling over 500,000 units according to Gaon Chart and topping every digital chart available. As such, expectations for their comeback this year remain high, and many are anticipating how hot they’ll burn up the summer with their upcoming hits.

One official stated, “Super Junior has nearly completed the production of their new album. They are done with the album jacket photoshoot.”

Another revealed, “Starting from the end of this month to the middle of next month, SISTAR, Super Junior, and 2NE1 will be making back to back comebacks. We’re looking ahead to a lot of competition.”

This will mark Kangin’s first comeback to the stage in two years and nine months since his hiatus for the army. Although he’s been rumored for the musical ‘Goong‘, Kangin will be prioritizing his main career as a singer first.

[NEWS] CNBLUE’s Jonghyun Poses for ‘ELLE Girl’

Currently receiving attention for his role on ’Gentlemen’s Class‘, CNBLUE‘s Jonghyun showcased his polished and charming image for a recent photo shoot with ‘ELLE Girl‘.

Throughout the shoot, Jonghyun used his playful expressions and natural poses to express the concept of ‘vacation by oneself’, while also interjecting some of his rebellious and tough charm as a “Busan guy”.

When asked about his thoughts on monitoring his first appearance in ‘Gentlemen’s Class’, Jonghyun confessed,”Even though I didn’t have a lot of parts, it still felt like I was watching it in slow motion.” He expressed his hope by adding, “It’s an honor to be working with such good senior actors, director, and writer, and I’m working hard with the thought, ‘I’m learning a lot.’ I’ll show everyone a hard working side of myself so please keep an eye on me.”

In addition, when talking about his dorm life with the rest of CNBLUE members, Jonghyun commented, “We get along by immediately expressing and getting over our complaints for each other. Thanks to the neat dongsaengs, I have now developed a habit of cleaning the room by myself.”

Jonghyun’s shoot will be featured in the July edition of ‘ELLE Girl’.

[NEWS] U-KISS Becomes First Korean Artist to Hold Fan Meeting in Cambodia

U-KISS has made an impact in Cambodia.
On June 17, the U-KISS members left for Cambodia’s Phnom Penh.

Traveling to the outskirts of the capital, the group held a special volunteer activity with an NGO by paying a surprise visit to a local school.

There, the members interacted with the kids and passed out baseball bats and other baseball equipments for the children.

Following the volunteer event, U-KISS held a large-scale fan meeting with its fans in Cambodia.

The fan meeting was attended by some 5,000 fans and was even attended by Hun Sen, the prime minister of Cambodia, and his family. The event was the first of its kind for a Korean artist in Cambodia.


Following U-KISS’ return to Korea, the group will focus on promoting its recently released special album and its title song Believe. In July, the group will embark on a nation-wide tour in Japan.

[NEWS] CNBLUE’s Drama Series Collectively Draws in Over 50% of Viewer Ratings

The members of CNBLUE proved that they too are multi-talented idol stars.

Kang Minhyuk and Lee Jonghyun who have taken on acting roles in KBS 2TV‘s ‘You Who Rolled In Unexpectedly‘ and SBS ‘Gentlemen’s Class‘ have collectively reeled in 50% of viewer ratings.

According to AGB Nielsen Media Research, ‘You Who Rolled In Unexpectedly’ which aired on June 17th drew in a total of 36.2% viewer ratings, while ‘Gentlemen’s Class’ drew in 16.6%, together totaling 52.8%.

Both dramas happen to air on the weekend, making CNBLUE fans squeal in delight as they can monitor both series back to back.

Minhyuk plays the role of Cha Sae Kwang, the younger brother of Kim Nam Joo in ‘You Who Rolled In Unexpectedly’, effortlessly pulling off the ‘bad boy’ image. He also displays his sense of humor interacting with actor Kwak Dong Yeon, and shows his more romantic side as he acts alongside Oh Yeon Seo.

Kang Minhyuk made his small-screen debut with SBS ‘It’s Okay, Daddy’s Girl‘ and also took on a role in MBC‘s ‘Heartstrings‘. He is earning praise for his stable and natural acting abilities, especially in his current drama series.

Fellow group member Lee Jong Hyun who first tried his hand at acting through film ‘Acoustic‘ alongside Minhyuk has made his own small-screen debut through ‘Gentlemen’s Class’. Jonghyun plays the role of 19 year old Colin who crosses over to Korea to find his father.

In related news, CNBLUE will be releasing their third Japanese single ‘Come On‘ on August 1st.

Super Junior‘s Leeteuk showed his extraordinary charm in a black-and-white photo through Twitter.

On June 17th, Leeteuk attached the above photo and wrote, “Always be grateful and happy.. ^^“.

In the released photo, Leeteuk has his earphones on while wearing a plain white t-shirt, juxtaposing with the other people’s black outfits in the background. This photo is particularly gaining the attention of fans because Leeteuk looks like he came straight out a cartoon with his handsome and elegant profile.

Followers who saw his photo commented, “Wherever you are, we are always connected“, “You are so cool“, and “He certified his shining beauty with just one black-and-white photo.”

CNBlue’s Kang Min Hyuk and Lee Jong Hyun have successfully crossed over to acting. The two musicians are currently part of weekend dramas “You Rolled in Unexpectedly” and “A Gentleman’s Dignity,” both of which are recording high viewership ratings. Combined, their dramas attracted a viewership ratings of 50% on Sunday,  June 17. According to AGB Nielsen, “You Rolled in Unexpectedly” recorded 36.2% last night, while “A Gentleman’s Dignity recorded 16.6%.

Kang Min Hyuk stars “You Rolled in Unexpectedly” as Kim Nam Joo’s brother Cha Se Kwang, a natural player who can make a girl fall for him, regardless of her age. Adorable and charismatic, he’s also captured the hearts of his female viewers with his confident character. Lee Jong Hyun plays Colin, a nineteen-year-old student who comes to Korea in search of his biological father, supposedly Jang Dong Gun, Kim Suro, Kim Min Jong, or Lee Jong Hyuk.

According to their management agency, fans have expressed great interest and happiness in watching the series consecutively every Saturday and Sunday nights. A representative of FNC Entertainment revealed, “The four members of CNBlue gather every weekend to watch the drama, closely monitoring each other [fellow members].” He continued, “At the studio, they [Kang Min Hyuk and Lee Jong Hyun] always have their scripts in hand and look over every detail.”

Meanwhile, CNBlue is planning on releasing its third Japanese single album, “Come On,” this August.

Choi Siwon of Super Junior just posted a photo on Twitter introducing his son, immediately drawing attention from the singer’s fans worldwide immediately.

“Introducing my son, aigoo, the road ahead of him is dark,” Siwon introduced in the caption. As you can see below, the photo is none other than a Photoshopped polaroid of Eunhyuk on a baby’s body.


Upon seeing the hilarious photo and Siwon’s pessimism, Eunhyuk tweeted back in protest, “This guy has a bright future!“
