[NEWS] U-KISS′ AJ’s Acceptance into Columbia University Makes News Again

(05 Jun 2012, 17:17)

You probably have that one friend who is smart, handsome and super talented, and who you are always compared to by your mother. Well, AJ of U-KISS is one of those friends.

While the news of AJ’s acceptance into the prestigious Columbia University in New York was known back in September of 2011, the Korean media recently re-discovered the impressive feat and are spotlighting the U-KISSmember once more.

As the Ivy League school is difficult to get into, the fact that AJ was able to achieve such a goal despite his busy schedule has been impressing the public.

After he debuted with Paran in 2008 and entered U-KISS as a new member, AJ continuously studied in between schedules, receiving a perfect score on his SAT subject tests as well as a high score on his SAT Reasoning test.

AJ’s company, NH Media spoke with enews on June 5, saying, “AJ has been receiving a lot of love calls from academic publishers and academies due to his excellent results of getting accepted into Columbia University despite being swamped by busy schedules. He’s even been asked to lecture some classes.”

The company added, “We will do our best to support AJ in every way, as this is something he earned on his own.”

Aside from being accepted into Columbia, AJ is officially registered as a composer in Japan since June of 2011. He also composed Believe off of U-KISS’ newest album, The Special To KissMe.

AJ will join his U-KISS members to promote the group’s new album. U-KISS will be returning to the stage on June 7 on Mnet’s M Countdown.

U-KISS will also start its Japanese hall tour in July, visiting Tokyo, Osaka, Sapporo and six major cities in Japan.
